CRISIS
 Busted...

A mole in the dea

JACMUN 2025’s Crisis Committee theme II is “A Mole in the DEA?” This high-stakes scenario immerses delegates in the intense world of drug enforcement as they tackle powerful Latin American cartels responsible for trafficking cocaine, heroin, and meth into the U.S., fueling addiction, violence, and crime.

In response, the U.S. government and allies—including the DEA, INTERPOL, the FBI, and the Mexican government—have united to dismantle these cartels. But within this task force, two undercover moles are secretly working for the cartels, feeding them critical intelligence that jeopardizes the mission and endangers lives. Delegates must uncover the identities of these infiltrators, balancing trust and suspicion, while strengthening strategies to protect anti-drug operations.

Throughout the committee, delegates will sharpen investigative skills, collaborate on intelligence-sharing, and devise new approaches to safeguard against betrayal. As they delve into the complexities of international law enforcement, they’ll face moral and ethical questions on loyalty, deception, and justice.

“A Mole in the DEA?” offers an intense dive into the world of undercover operations and diplomacy, where each decision could determine success or failure in the fight against drug cartels. Join us for a thrilling journey where every move matters!
